Frage zu Up- und Downsampling

Es gibt auf dem Markt einige Aktivmodule zB von Hypex mit denen sich digitale Filter zusammenstellen lassen. Gerade am Beispiel von Hypex ist mir aufgefallen dass zwar Eingangssignale mit 192 akzeptiert werden, diese aber vor der DSP Komponente wieder auf 48 heruntergetaktet werden.Eingangssignale mit 44 von CD werden dagegen auf 48 hochgesamplet. Geht bei diesem hin und her eigentlich Information - hörbar - verloren, oder bleibt das in der unterhalb der Wahrnehmungsschwelle ? Wenn man hochaufgelöstes Material apspielt und in der Anlage wird das wieder runtergehackt scheint mir das irgendwie nicht überzeugend. Ich glaube auch bei den Aktivmodulen von Nubert, Abacus, und KS Digital läuft das so. Hörvergleiche konnte ich mangels Aktivbox noch nicht machen.

Probably a matter of price.
If the audio is 48kHz, you have 1/48000 of a second to do your calculations.
A higher sample rate requires a faster processor.

Bit depth is also an aspect to take into account.
Insufficient precision will yield audible quantization errors.

An active with analogue input and DSP is not uncommon common but one has to convert a digital source to analogue to have it converted back to digital inside the box. Then the DSP is applied and the result inevitably converted to analogue again.
DA > AD > DSP > DA
